TRUST MEMBERS


Our Members are the guardians of the charitable and educational objectives of the Trust. They ensure we are keeping to our core purpose and ethos.

The Members attend an Annual General Meeting (AGM) as well as occasional General Meetings. Their role is largely "hands off" but includes some critical responsibilities, including appointing Trustees, appointing the Trust's external auditors, and approving any changes to the Trust’s articles of association, to ensure the Trust carries out its charitable objects.

Kate Amis

Trust Member
 

Senior project manager with a background in secondary education.
Key experience: Project management in the public and private sector. Currently working for Queen Mary University London and the Princes Teaching Institute. Previous roles at the Royal Geographical Society with IBG, The Financial Skills Partnership and Comic Relief.
Key expertise: Managing complex projects; establishing and developing governance structures; leading change; managing difficult situations and relationships.
School governance: Governor/Trustee at Belleville Primary 2001 to 2016; Chair of Governors/Trustees from 2009 to 2016; Member of the Trust since 2011. Designated National Leader of Governance (NLG) in 2012, she has provided significant pro-bono support for many primary schools in London and the South East.

Sandie Andrews

Experienced school leader.
Key experience: 25 years' primary school leadership experience. Currently headteacher at Penwortham Primary School, Wandsworth. National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH); Designated Safeguarding Lead; Co-chair of Wandsworth Primary Heads focum; trained coach; 
Unicef Rights Respecting Ambassador.  
Key expertise: Vision and values, curriculum development, raising standards, inclusion, leading people, managing change. Passionate about improving the life chances of children. 
School governance: Headteacher governor (ex-officio) at Penwortham Primary since 2016.

Julian Coningham

Trust Member


Solicitor with a track record of commitment to equality, diversity and tolerance.
Key experience: Runs his own practice, Coningham’s Solicitors, specialising in human rights law. Has lectured and examined at the College of Law. Trustee of St Mungo’s Broadway from 2006 to 2013 and chair of Homeless Healthcare CIC LTD from 2011 to 2015.
Key expertise: Business management; governance; legal expertise in contracting/ best value tendering, accounting, employment rights and client care.
School governance: Governor/Trustee since 2013; Chair of Trustees since March 2016; Member of the Trust.

Rebecca Hossain

Trust Member


Director with a background in commercial and project management in London based museums.
Key experience: Commercial roles in four London museums. Currently Director of Commercial and Operations at Sir John Soane’s Museum, with a focus on visitor experience, self-generated commercial income, audience development, and inclusion, equality and diversity. Previous roles include the Design Museum, National Portrait Gallery, Tate, and Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee (BRAC).

Key expertise: Project and budget management, communication, leading change, team development and well-being, fundraising and volunteering at community level.
School governance: Governor at Belleville Primary School (community appointed) 2003-2011. Chair of Curriculum Committee.

Brian Ledbetter

Senior professional in global financial and business development.
Key experience: Senior partner at McKinsey and Company, a global management consultancy firm, since 1999. Leads financial service practice and is also a leader in Business Technology. Works with large global financial institutions (FTSE 100 companies) to improve their performance. Formerly European product manager at a US software company.
Key expertise: Financial services; risk management; business development; operations; technology.
School governance: Governor/Trustee since 2010; Chair of Finance and Premises Committee; Member of the Trust since April 2017
