We are delighted to have appointed Daniel Terry to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Quality First Education Trust.

Daniel has worked in education for over 20 years, with primary teaching and leadership experience, including as a trustee in a Multi Academy Trust across south London. He is currently Deputy CEO of the Cygnus Academies Trust, a network of eight primary academies across South East London, Dartford and Tonbridge. 

Daniel Terry says:

"I am delighted to introduce myself as the new CEO of the Quality First Education Trust from September 2026. It is a privilege to join a group of schools and communities that are so deeply committed to giving every child the opportunity to thrive.

I believe passionately that all children should be supported to achieve their goals, and that this is made possible when we invest in the people who work with them every day. High‑quality professional development for our staff is central to this, because when we strengthen our teachers and leaders, we strengthen outcomes for every child.

Children succeed not by chance but because the adults around them build strong, honest relationships and work together with a shared determination to make things better. Great ideas flourish when communities come together with purpose, courage and a belief in what is possible.

Daniel will officially start at the Q1E Trust in September 2026, but he will be involved in the planning and handover process during the summer term.
