Policy consultations

Relationships and sex education (RSE)

As a result of the government's changes to the requirements for RSE in primary schools, we redeveloped our curriculum to ensure it met the new requirements as well as the needs of our pupils. We consulted on these changes in 2020-21. Many thanks to those parents and carers who contributed. Our new policy (including an overview of the curriculum) can be found in the list above.

Admissions

In order to enable the children of our staff to attend our schools, we consulted with parents and other stakeholders on changing the admission arrangements for Churchfields Primary School and Belleville Wix Academy during the 2019-20 academic year, The Alton School in 2018-19 and Belleville Primary School in 2017-18.

This is a change that many schools have made, in order to support the work-life balance of their staff team, and improve staff recruitment and retention. It impacts a very small number of places and is a change approved by the Schools Admissions Code.
