Q1E Virtual Sports Day
Dear parents and carers
It’s summer term and all great summer terms have a school sports day. Unfortunately, given the current situation and the fact that not all children will be with us at school, it isn’t possible to hold a school sports day in the traditional sense.
However, we are delighted to announce that we will have the inaugural Quality First Education Virtual Sports Day taking place in June. Your children will have the opportunity to take part in five different traditional sports day events. These events can be done in a living room, garden or local park. Watch our fantastic PE team demonstrating how each event works on the videos below.
Once your child has completed their events, you can then submit results on this google form. Submitting results should only take a couple of minutes and once sent, they will be collated so that the PE team can work out which school has the highest average score. We will post an assembly on the Q1E home learning website later in the summer term, revealing who the winning school was for each event. More details will be sent out nearer the time. Your child does not have to complete all five events, so whichever ones they choose to do can be recorded and sent. Please submit this form by no later than Friday 12th June.
We would love to see our children joining in with some of these activities and so we have set up an email address for families to send in videos and photographs of children competing. Please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org to share videos and photographs. The title of the email should be as follows:
School name, Year group
Please note that we intend on using some of these images and videos on the home learning website, so please only share with us if you don’t mind it being used for this purpose.
So all that remains is for us to say is, have fun participating in our virtual sports day. May the best school win!
